The creators
The beginning
Created in 2004 by Florent and Stéphanie, Origine Ateliers is the fruit of over a century of the transmission of passion, respect for the craft, innovation and skills, in the grand tradition of French jewellery making. The story begins in Paris, Place Vendome, in 1919, with the creation of a workshop, dedicated to making chains and jewellery for the greatest French jewellers. At the heart of this workshop was the highly-skilled master jeweller, who took over the workshop in 1967.
Arrival on the Basque Coast
C’est son coeur qui le guidera vers le Pays Basque en 1995, année de son installation à Anglet. Pratiquant son art avec un grand respect des traditions et des matériaux, une sensibilité particulière et un attachement à la transmission, le succès est rapidement au rendez-vous. Le recrutement d’un chef d’atelier et d’un joaillier est indispensable pour poursuivre la belle aventure, c’est ainsi que Florent et Stéphanie prennent place aux côtés du maître-joaillier, pour finalement reprendre l’atelier en 2004.Tradition and modernity
His heart led him to the Basque Coast in 1995, where he set up his business in Anglet. He practiced his art with a great respect for traditions and materials, and with a particular sensitivity towards the transmission of skills and knowledge, his workshop was soon a success. Recruiting a head for the workshop and a jeweller became essential for the continuation of this success, and this is how Florent and Stéphanie came to work with him, taking over the workshop in 2004.
